PRP & Juvederm® Labial Re-sculpturing

How Does PRP Help with Vaginal Aesthetics?

As women age, we lose collagen and elastin in our skin, which gets thinner and tends to sag. If you are concerned or self-conscious about the look of your vagina and would like to go back to the way it looked when you were younger, we can help with a natural treatment and filler.

The growth factors in the Platelet Rich Plasma promote healing, collagen production and elastin production which can drastically help in a variety of skin conditions. The new collagen helps to tighten skin, rejuvenate elasticity and generally promote a fuller, more youthful appearance. It can also increase sensitivity in the area. A natural filler, such as Juvederm® (made of hyaluronic acid) is also injected into the area to sculpt and fill areas to complete the aesthetic appeal.

How Long Does It Take?

The actual procedure itself is done in our office at Sunshine Health Care Center and takes approximately 20 to 40 minutes. After this, you are free to resume normal activities immediately. You may resume sexual activities as soon as you are comfortable.

How Many Procedures Does It Take?

Depending on the results you are looking for and the condition of the area being treated, it generally only takes 1-2 PRP and Juvederm® treatments. You may see immediate results which can continue to improve for 6-8 weeks and last for up to 18 months. Please feel free to schedule a consultation with your provider and discuss your expectations. We can formulate the right treatment plan for you to get the results that you want.

Does the Procedure Hurt?

You will be given a topical numbing cream to gently cover the area of treatment, after which you will wait from 30-40 minutes for the area to become completely numb. This is usually sufficient to reduce the pain of injections to a mild discomfort. You may feel a sting and pressure during the injections. However, for particularly sensitive individuals, we can also administer a “block” injection (similar to Novocaine at the Dentist’s office) which completely numbs the surrounding subcutaneous tissue as well.
